What operating system and programming languages do you usually use to analyse your data?
The software currently provides c/c++ libraries, however it may be easy to provide an interface to these libraries in other languages. Do you see the need for this, and if so, which languages? e.g. Matlab, FORTRAN.
On what system did you test the software? e.g. On your laptop running linux, on osiris, etc.
What functionality did you test? e.g. Image reconstuction using FCDI, ER algorithm with shrikwrap. Did you modify the example files? Did you use the c++ libraries or the command line tools?
(If applicable) how easy was the package to install? Did you have any problems?
How easy was the software to use?
Was reconstuction fast enough?
Was the documentation clear enough? Was anything missing from the documentation? What type of documentation did you mostly use to work out how to run the software: the website, comments in the examples, doxygen pages?
What other examples should be provided, or are the examples already provided sufficient?
Please comment on the correctness of the software output. For example, if you can, please compare the output from the software to the output from your own code. Are the results consistent? Please give lots of details if they were not so I can recreate the same test. If you have time please email me with the dataset used, the input parameters and details of the reconstruction. This is useful even if the results were consistent as it provides benchmark tests for the software.
If it were up to you, what should be the main improvement between this and the next version of the software?
